Lost Weight and I Feel Great!
“For a couple of years
I was having some health problems and I was under a lot of stress. Back in December I decided that I was not
going to let my health problems get me down.
So, my New Year’s resolution was to lose weight by having only 1100
calories a day and start exercising. In
January, I joined Curves and I workout 4 to 5 times a week. Not only do I feel so much better, I have
made many new friends, enjoy the great staff, and best of all, I’ve lost 37
pounds!”

“The Curves circuit and
Curves diet have become my way of life. I have been a member for a little over
2 years and it has been the most effective exercise program I have ever been on
because it is the one that has been the most consistent. I look forward to
going as many times a week as I can, all six days if possible. The friends that
I have met are the best and I look forward to seeing them. We talk and laugh
and still get in our workout. We encourage each other to keep up the good work.
For years I have been on the Weight Watcher's diet and was fairly
successful with it but this last January I knew that I needed to do something
different. To this date, since January, I have lost almost 20 lbs. It is an
easy diet to follow and now I don't even think of it as a diet, just a new way
of healthful eating, counting both calories and the good carbs.

I Love These People!
“Seven years ago I
decided to do something good for my mind and my health. I didn’t need to lose weight, just needed to
tone up. Fortunately, I discovered
Curves within walking distance of my house.
At best, I expected to find a group of younger women who would not be
too critical of me because of my age.
What I found instead, was a wonderful assortment of ladies of all sized,
shapes, color and ages. They were so
warm and friendly that I went back the next day and the one after that. I knew that I had found a place where
everyone was welcomed and where all were here for the same reasons. Through the years, these ladies have become
very important to me. We care about each
other unconditionally. Managers have
come and gone but the bond remains.
Right now, the ladies in charge are hard working, kind, loving and caring
and we love them. They keep us apprised
of the sick and disadvantaged among us and they keep in touch with them. They’re like loving parents and I for one
look forward to seeing them every day. I
consider myself blessed to be a member of a group who gets together, not
because they have to, but because they want to.

No One To
Impress But Myself!
“I’ve been coming
since the day you opened. I chose Curves
because of only having women. You don’t
have to be impressive to anyone. I
wanted the cardiovascular benefits and the osteoporosis benefits. Members of my family suffer from both. I don’t have high blood pressure and my bone
density is perfect. I’m pleases with the
camaraderie of the staff and the clients.”

Give Me A Reason!
It began as a joke
with Curves manager Pam. “I came for the
T-shirt, and got so much more.” My
normal workout routine was based on the suggested three visits per week. Having reached a plateau in my regiment, I
began to think there was nothing more I could do. Visits to the doctor revealed that, all
things being equal, the only missing component in my wellness plan was regular
exercise. Well, chronic back issues and
threatening arthritis kept me from high impact aerobics and running/jogging. Time kept me away from the amount of walking
that would show results. Then the
t-shirt showed up on the wall at Curves.
“For grins,” I
began daily workouts, thinking that at least, if I couldn’t lose weight, I
could get a t-shirt to prove that my heart was in the effort. Every able woman should find some incentive
for regular exercise – thirty minutes a day really does the trick, combined
with a sensible eating and lifestyle plan that suits them. If you can’t think of anything else, come on
to Curves at Killearn, just for the t-shirt!

Curves And
The Community!
“Throughout this year,
Curves has taken many opportunities to reach out to benefit the community. Last Christmas the ladies of Curves partnered
with Child Evangelism Fellowship, a Christian organization reaching children
throughout the world with the gospel of Christ.
When told that families of Magnolia Terrace Apartments, a low income
government housing project, needed help providing Christmas for a needy family,
they responded over and above. Not only
did they provide Christmas—gifts and food to one family—but six families in
need were stocked with full pantries and gifts under the tree. The families were overwhelmed with the
generosity of Curve’s ladies. In August,
2007, it was made known that 25 children had completed a summer tutoring
program at Magnolia Terrace and were in need of book bags and supplies to start
school. In just a short time, book bags
with supplies began turning up at Curves.
Twenty-five children were sent off that first day of school, proud of
their book bags and ready to begin a new year of learning.”

can I say? You must go and give it a
chance. You will see how awesome it is
and how you will love it. You’ll feel
great, lose weight, firm up, sleep better, plus get a new outlook on life. My Curves on Kerry Forest (Killearn) is “The Best”!
It is like a family. Not just a
regular family, but one that is fun and without the regular everyday situations
and problems. You’ll actually really
look forward to your workout times. Time
yourself and see how often you stay longer than 30 minutes and go more than 3
times around. We get great gifts and
shirts. I’ve gotten my shirt for 100
visits, another shirt saying 200 visits, and this week I got another shirt for
my 300 visits. Wow, I love this
